Laurie Wallmark has a master's degree in Information System and fifteen years of experience in corporate information technology departments. She is an adjunct professor of computer science at Raritan Valley Community College. As a consultant, she has designed, created, and maintained websites for numerous clients. Her first website, an online bookstore, was up and running on the World Wide Web before Amazon.Com.
She shares her extensive knowledge of computers by conducting classes and and tutoring privately. She teaches computer and internet basics, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access), page layout (Adobe InDesign), and web design.
She writes books and magazine articles for children. She has had pieces accepted by Highlights for Children and Appleseeds. As the Assistant Regional Advisor for New Jersey SCBWI (Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators), she is knowledgeable in all aspects of writing for children.
